The Franklin Library, affiliated with the Franklin Mint, produced books especially for collectors. Established in 1973 it's mission was to elevate the book to an art form that could be enjoyed not only by the reader, but by the casual observer, glancing at it upon a shelf. Constructed from the finest materials, including full, genuine leather, acid neutral paper and 22K gold imprinting and edging, Franklin's books were bound by the Sloves Organization, one of the few institutions dedicated to leather book binding.
During it's short existence (1973-2000), The Franklin Library produced an astounding number of books in a wide variety of genres and editions. They offered for example, their "Classic Titles" collections of 50 or 100 volumes. Subscribers would receive one book a month, meaning it might take years to accumulate the entire collection.
Though the Franklin Library sadly closed it's door almost 2 decades ago now, the iconic books they produced are still sought by collectors the world over. We have a great selection for sale in our Amazon store at very competitive prices and they are all in New condition.
